The Big Mage Theorycraft Thread

Post by Venasarae » Fri Aug 10, 2007 5:34 pm

This thread explains pretty much my entire reasoning for how I do my stats, and has the exact numbers to prove them. What I do isn't all based from this thread as I've been doing it this way longer than this thread has been around, but here it is anyway:P

Never seen that thread before , good read. Doesn't much change the way I gear myself, since I realized hit was important anyways :P.

Yeah, there's just some interesting stuff about the exact amount of mana you get from spirit, the amount of crit you get from int, yadda yadda. Nice to have as a reference.

No idea where i ever read it was one roll for spells but i swear a blue a said it. It would be pretty gay if they changed mechanics or lied.

Hell it was probably tseric =/ he probably didn't even know how mages worked.

This is great for checking which trinkets best suit your build. As well as the effect that CoE really plays on our damage. Raid buffed and with a CoE mob, I should push out over 1100 dps in a static fight.

How depressing. The Lightning Capacitor would raise my DPS by almost twice as much as the freaking Skull of Gul'dan would. So bloody overpowered.

Apparently the Darkmoon Card: Crusade is next in the list? No idea on that one.

The Sextant of Unstable Currents, according to this thing, is better than the Icon of the Silver Crescent.. certainly better than what I'm using currently. TLC is still irritating as hell though.

Yeah for me the only thing better the TLC is the Skull of Guldan lol.
